Car and motorcycle collide in suburban West Palm Beach, victim identified

SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Investigators have identified the motorcycle driver who died in a collision with a car Friday afternoon in suburban West Palm Beach.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies say Vanessa Verdieu was driving her Lexus when she collided with William Haythorn's Harley-Davidson motorcycle at Military Trail and Orlando Avenue.

Sheriff's deputies say Haythorn was heading south on Military Trial when the crash happened. He later died at a hospital.

Verdieu and her two passengers were not injured.

It is not clear who was at fault.
