Man suspected of injecting 'patients' with silicone, sealing injections with 'Krazy Glue'

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A West Palm Beach man is being accused of injecting silicone into patients' buttocks, and sealing the injection sites with 'Krazy Glue,' according to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Offic e spokeswoman Teri Barbera.

Detectives say 44-year-old Calvin  Edward Butler, also known as 'Tamieka Butler,' was renting a room at the El Patio Motel in West Palm Beach, where he injected at least two people with silicone.

According to an arrest report, both unidentified people, a male and a female, were admitted at local hospitals with severe infection, pain, bleeding, oozing wounds, and disfigurement.

Butler was arrested on January 18 by Palm Beach County detectives and charged with two counts of practicing medicine without a license, according to the sheriff's office.

The female victim told detectives that she met with Butler at his room at the El Patio Motel where she received four silicone injections to both buttocks in September and October of 2012, and was charged $200 per injection section.

She describes the procedure, explaining that Butler used a felt tip pen to mark areas on her buttocks and then poured out a clear liquid from a Pedialyte bottle into a plastic cup, filling the syringe from the cup and injecting the liquid into her buttocks. Once the injections were completed, Butler would clean the blood from the skin and apply 'Krazy Glue' to the incisions.

The victim spent several days in the hospital after developing a bacterial infection that swelled her lymph nodes.

The male victim is being treated for open sores on his buttocks caused by the injections, according to a report.

He told detectives he received  weekly injections from Butler for almost four months starting in June. In October, he developed a serious infection and needed surgery and is still being treated for infection.

A sheriff's report says Butler visited the male victim in December, dressed as a woman with a large wig and a fur coat, and told the victim he never should have sought medical attention.
