MANGONIA PARK, Fla. - A man was killed Friday evening in a hit-and-run accident while riding his bicycle in Mangonia Park, said Teri Barbera, spokeswoman for Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Barbera said the victim, believed to be homeless, was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told deputies that the victim was trying to cross the street when he was struck by a white pickup truck traveling west on 45 th Street in Mangonia Park, Barbera said.
She said the driver of the pickup truck was “driving erratically."
Authorities are looking for a white pickup truck with a metal tool box in the rear and a ladder on top with right front-end damage.
