PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - The top countywide race in Palm Beach County is for state attorney, and Dave Aronberg is hoping to win with a strong Democratic turnout some observers expect.

Aronberg started the race with the highest name recognition and the backing of the party machine.

His Republican opponent, former prosecutor Dina Keever, has tried to hammer him on an ethics question over whether he did political work while he was working for the attorney general.

"All this other stuff was a side show. You can tell who is ahead, who is behind by who focuses on the issues and who would rather focus on distractions and contrived controversies," said Aronberg.

He will hold his election night party at county Democratic headquarters at the Embassy Suites near the Palm Beach International airport.
