WEST PALM BEACH, Fla - Kelly Norman says she feels violated every time she passed by the sexy taxi cab advertisements that are now plastered on almost every van in the Yellow Cab fleet.
"It makes me sick," Norman said. "It should be reserved for marriage."
Kelly's husband, Ezra says he is also offended at the advertisements of a local strip club.
"They are near impossible to avoid," Norman said. "Should I have to look down or look away? Or drive looking out of the corner of my eye. I don't want to see this crap."
Kelly decided to take the couple's concerns to the Palm Beach County Commission.
"I don't feel it's appropriate for my husband to see or my child to see," she told the commission.
Kelly asked the commission to consider banning this signs. Because Yellow Cab has a contract with the county airport, Palm Beach County Commissioner Karen Marcus said it was worth looking into.
"We have a contract with them so we are allowed to establish some guidelines," Marcus told the commission.
But Palm Beach County Commissioner Burt Aaronson fired back- saying banning the signs may be a violation of the first ammendment.
"I would suggest the attorney look into it so we don't get ourself in a lawsuit," Aaronson said.
While the county looks into it, the Normans believe *their* rights are being violated.
"It's explicitly in my face," Ezra Norman said. "That's a violation of my rights."
"There's a big misconception that these images don't mean anything," Kelly Norman said. "That's just not true."
For the young couple, it's not just about sexy images, it's about protecting the sanctity of their marriage.
"I would like people to start rising up and realizing that we're not helpless," Kelly Norman said. "This isn't how it has to be."
