WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - American flags are flying off store shelves. Flags Plus in West Palm Beach has sold more than four times as many American flags as usual Monday. Car flags are close to selling out. They’ve seen a steady flow of customers all day. Some were even waiting outside for the store to open.

"They're wanting new flags to hang up for the occasion of Osama bin Laden being taken care of and they're very excited," said Larry Trexler of Flags Plus.

"It was just something I had to do after last night,” said Roy Uribe of West Palm Beach, who was buying American flags for his car. “I heard the news last night and I couldn't go to sleep."

Trexlor says military and P.O.W. flags have also been big sellers today. Another popular flag is the Flag of Honor, a brand new flag with the names of all the victims of 9-11 printed on it.
