WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Despite large crowds at Palm Beach International Airport security checkpoints were moving smoothly Wednesday morning.
There were no significant delays and travelers moved through new full body scanners rather quickly.
All flights from 5:50am through 8:00am were on time.
PBIA officials recommend travelers arrive at the airport two hours prior to their departure time.
Full body scans were given randomly by TSA employees.
Some travelers opted out of the scans and they were given an enhanced body searches, which took roughly three minutes.
At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, there were no signs of significant delays because of a loosely organized protest urging passengers selected for full body scans to opt instead for the more time-consuming pat downs.
