Acreage boy dies after his bicycle collides with car

A teenager is dead after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle late Sunday afternoon in The Acreage, Palm Beach Sheriff's Office said.

The boy, believed to be between the ages of 12 and 16, was taken by Trauma Hawk to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach in cardiac arrest, said Capt. Don DeLucia, Fire Rescue spokesman.

According to PBSO, he died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
