WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A car accident blocked off a portion of Rosemary Avenue near the West Palm Beach police station Tuesday evening, said Capt. David Bernhardt, spokesman for city police.
Bernhardt said a woman driving a pickup truck ran into a wooden utility pole around 8:15 p.m. The bottom section of the pole landed on top of the truck while the top half ended up dangling from power lines.
Rosemary Avenue was blocked for about an hour between Clematis Street and Banyan Boulevard.
Traffic investigators are checking eyewitness reports that another vehicle was involved in the accident, Bernhardt said.
