Apparent hit-and-run victim hospitalized

PALM SPRINGS, Fla. - A person was hospitalized Wednesday evening after apparently being hit by a vehicle in the 200 block of Alemeda Drive in Palm Springs, according to Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Borroto said a call was received around 9 p.m. of a "person being struck by a vehicle laying in the roadway."

The victim was taken to JFK Medical Center, Borroto said. There is no word on the extent of the injuries.

There is no other information available at this time.
