WEST PALM BEACH, FL, -- In 2004 back to back hurricanes Francis and Jeanne knocked out the 1515 building on South Flagler Drive.
The residents who lived in the 30-story condo were forced to relocate.
The building is in the process of being demolished.
This morning charities including Habitat for Humanity, Jay Ministries and the Salvation Army were given appliances from the building.
The non profit groups were able to salvage hot water heaters, a/c units, stoves, dishwashers, dyers, refrigerators and ovens.
The 1515 building is scheduled to be torn down later this year after all the potentially toxic materials are removed from it.
