SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A kitchen fire in a suburban West Palm Beach home sent an elderly man to the hospital Wednesday night, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue spokesman Capt. Don DeLucia reports.

Firefighters were dispatched to 4421 Palm Avenue, in a neighborhood south of Summit Boulevard and east of Military Trail, at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.

A 93-year-old man was found lying on the ground at the back porch of the home. He was suffering from smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene before being taken to JFK Medical Center, DeLucia said last night.
