WELLINGTON, Fla. - An overnight house fire in Wellington displaced a family of seven on Pacer Circle.

Fire officials say it started in the garage just before midnight.

Palm Beach County Fire Chief Richard Seaman says the family all got out safely, thanks to working smoke detectors.

Seaman says it took fire officials more than a half hour to put the blaze out.

The fire was contained to the garage, but there is smoke damage to other parts of the house and the family car.

At last check, one of the family's cats is missing.

Insurance agents say this home is an estimated $850-thousand dollars.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
