WELLINGTON, Fla. - A Wellington woman allegedly struck her 6-year-old son in the head, arms and chest with a belt, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputies.

According to an arrest report, Lowe wielded the belt after her car was scratched while the boy was riding his bike.

Princess H. Lowe, 28, of Bottlebrush Court, was charged with aggravated child abuse.

The assault happened Saturday, and the boy was hospitalized at Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee with multiple abrasions and swelling. The boy's name was redacted from an arrest report.

Lowe was arrested at her Wellington home at 7 p.m. She was held in custody in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
