WELLINGTON, Fla. - Four people were injured as the result of a three-vehicle accident Friday evening on Forest Hill Boulevard in Wellington.

One person had to be extricated from one of the vehicles and flown to Delray Medical Center with severe injuries, said Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach Fire Rescue.

Three others, one adult and two children, also were injured and were taken to Palms West Hospital. Their injuries were less severe.

The accident happened around 6:45 p.m. at 10300 Forest Hill Boulevard in front of the Wellington Green Mall.  

Accident scene investigators have not yet released the cause of the crash
