Man steals diamond ring from Wellington Mall Zales Jewelry store

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify a man who is wanted for grand theft.

The suspect posed as a customer at the Zales Jewelry Store in the Mall at Wellington Green. Sales assistants helped him for nearly an hour before he placed a 1.97 carat diamond princess cut solitaire engagement ring on his pinky and fled the store.

He was wearing a white long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a blue baseball cap with an orange letter "F."
