A man posing as jewelry store customer walked off with a nearly two carat diamond ring from a Zales store in Wellington, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office says the suspect spent an hour at the store in the Mall at the Wellington Green being waited on by a sales assistant December 6th.
It says the man placed the 1.97 carat diamond Princess cut Solitaire engagement ring on his pinkie and left.
He wore a white long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a blue baseball cap with an orange letter “F”.
Investigators believe the same man was in Macy's earlier the same day.
If you recognize him you're urged to call Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
