WELLINGTON, Fla. - Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies are looking for the person responsible for allowing 7 cattle to get loose from a Wellington field.
A bull, four cows and two calves either escaped or were taken from a field near 120th Avenue South on Monday April 22nd, according to the sheriff's office.
The animals' owner received a call at 4:00 a.m. stating one of his calves was loose and standing in the roadway at 50 th Street South and 120 th Avenue South, deputies said.
When the owner responded, he discovered that someone had opened the gate from the fence.
Authorities say the cattle were located approximately ½ mile down the roadway.
