How government shutdown will affect the VA

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - In wake of a possible government shutdown, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is offering a list of what will be and will not be affected.

Highlights of the list of services that will be impacted are:
Board of veterans appeals office claims
New education benefits – includes G.I. Bill
Benefits offices limited availability

Highlights of the list of services that will not be impacted are:
All medical facilities fully open
Currently enrolled education benefits
Claims processing – will be delayed
