Three retired sisters are giving back to the community teaching citizenship and English classes.

Sisters Beth, Kate and Eileen help adults from other countries learn about the United States.

The students are preparing to become U.S. citizens. The sisters also teach conversational English.

Kate Guadagni is a retired teacher, and says they know they are making a difference. "I think our class, they are always saying good class, we enjoyed it, we learned so much and English is a difficult language to learn because there are so many exceptions to all of the rules and that's what we are trying to teach them."

The three ladies volunteer at least four hours a week at the Vickers House South, a resource center in West Palm Beach.
