Some Palm Beach County ocean beaches, which were closed Saturday morning because of wind gusts, high surf and dangerous debris in the water left over by Hurricane Sandy, may reopen on Sunday, according to county officials.

Except for Boca-South Inlet, all county beaches were closed to swimmers on Saturday. Inland swimming areas at Dubois and Phil Foster parks remained open. Peanut Island was closed because of erosion.

Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue personnel is monitoring the beaches and will reopen them as conditions improve, officials said.
