ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. - East and westbound lanes on Southern Boulevard were shut down due to a deadly single vehicle accident, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The accident left two people dead, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday evening. According to PBSO, the vehicle was going eastbound when it lost control and hit a tree in the median.

Witnesses say the vehicle was traveling at a high speed.

Both occupants, a male and a female, were killed in the crash.
