ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. - Investigators are asking for the public's help Tuesday in hopes that they can identify the shooter in a case involving the discovery of a dead Lake Worth man in his vehicle Monday.

It happened in the 100 block of State Road 7, south of Okeechobee in Royal Palm Beach. Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies are calling it a homicide.

An emergency call came to the dispatch center around 7 p.m. Monday, after Kemar K. Clayton, 24, of Jacques Way, Lake Worth, was discovered slumped over the steering wheel in a white Mercedes Benz, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Teri Barbera.

"We don't know if there was a struggle inside of the vehicle, or if something took place outside of the vehicle, but no outward signs of struggle," Sgt. Rick McAfee of PBSO said.

Authorities say, PBSO deputies found the man deceased with an apparent gunshot wound when they arrived.

Investigators say they are unsure whether a struggle occurred. The car was also shot at.

The investigation is in its preliminary stages. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.

If anyone has information, they are urged to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
