A skateboard park is coming to Royal Palm Beach, thanks to a teenager.
17-year-old Derick Murray brought the idea to the Royal Palm Beach council last year.
Thursday the council decided to spend $96,000 to transform the roller rink at Preservation Park into a skateboard park.
Skateboarders will have to register to use the park.
However, the village won't police it.
The park should be completed in the next two months.
