ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. -
Two people were injured and traffic was briefly diverted on Monday morning after a two-car accident in in the 9900 block of Belvedere Road in Royal Palm Beach.
 
The driver of a Volkswagen Golf had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken by Trauma Hawk to St. Mary's Medical Center.
 
The passenger was transported by ambulance, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
