SINGER ISLAND, Fla. - Law enforcement agencies searched for migrants who were reported to have come ashore in the 5000 block of North Ocean Drive in Singer Island early Saturday morning, said Frank Miller, spokesman for U.S. Border Patrol.

Miller said residents reported seeing a boat with four or five people come ashore at 5380 N. Ocean Drive around 3 a.m.

“We have not found anyone yet, but we are continuing to search for them,” Miller said. “It could be a case of illegal immigrants or a narcotics run, or both,” said Miller.

Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Coast Guard are assisting border patrol in the search, Miller said.
