RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - There was an overwhelming police presence at the Port of Palm Beach Monday. But it was just a drill.
Officers and deputies were taking part in a shooting scenario onboard a yacht.
First responders and emergency crews were dispatched to a 'fake gunman.' They responded on the water and in the air.
Members of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Coast Guard and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue were among those taking part.
The goal is to prepare officers for a real event.
