Police investigate fatal shooting in Riviera Beach

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Riviera Beach.
According to Rose Anne Brown, spokesperson for Riviera Beach, the shooting occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on the West block of 14 th Street and Broadway.
A man that lives in the area was detained by police and is being questioned, according to Brown.
The suspected shooter alleged he shot the other man in self-defense.
Authorities say the victim appeared to be homeless.
Police say there may have been an altercation between the shooter and the deceased man last week.
At this point no charges have been filed and the investigation continues.
