McCray's II Backyard BBQ will have groundbreaking ceremony for new restaurant today in Mangonia Park

MANGONIA PARK, Fla. - After years of waiting, McCray's II Backyard BBQ has found a new location.

The popular lunch spot has been operating out of a trailer for years.

McCray's Backyard BBQ will hold a ground breaking ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at 1521 45th Street in Mangonia Park.

The town's council voted to allow McCray's to build, after they decided to get rid of a peddler's license that could have put it out of business for good.

Not only has McCray's been a delicious fixture in the community for years, the McCray family says they pride themselves on a 78-year tradition of cooking ribs the old-fashioned way.

In January, McCray's was asked by the NFL to cater to private parties in Texas for Superbowl XLV .
