RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - Florida Power and Light crews were out today beautifying homes in Riviera beach.
More than 150 employees rolled up their sleeves and spent Tuesday afternoon sprucing up 12 homes chosen by the Riviera Beach Maritime Academy.
All of the volunteers work and live in Palm Beach and Martin County.
"We've definitely been doing a lot of painting of the homes, painting of the trim, just making sure we do everything we can to improve their homes, and make them look nicer, and really give back to these great folks," said Thomas Bean, Director of public affairs at FPL.
The week-long initiative is called "Power to Care Week." The crews will head to Vero Beach Wednesday for another community service event.
