RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. -- - The tedious process of duplicating thousands of flawed absentee ballots continued on Tuesday at the Palm Beach County tabulation center in Riviera Beach.

Teams from both President Obama and Governor Romney returned for a second day, closely watching and making sure all went according to plan.

At least 8,500 absentee ballots were brought in to be manually recopied because they were unreadable due to a printing error.

Sitting at each table, a team of workers. One would read the results of the flawed ballot while the other recopied it to a ballot that is readable.

Behind the county workers, there were two people sitting behind them, each a representative from Governor Romney and President Obama's campaign.

Representatives from each party refused to comment about the process.

The supervisor of elections, Susan Bucher, did give the media an update about the process and said it was moving along. She also talked about the process of hiring temporary workers to duplicate the flawed absentee ballots.

"They are a political mix of different political parties and there is also an additional step that we've implemented that is not in the law, and that's a quality control team. And so our quality control team is made up of county employees who are reviewing their process," said Bucher.

Bucher also spoke out the concerns of a repeat to the problems from the 2000 presidential election and said this situation is different.

Crews will continue duplicating ballots for several hours each day for what could be a span of several weeks.
