Congressman Allen West discusses jobs

South Florida congressman Allen West was talking about jobs in South Florida.

The Republican spent time in Riviera Beach and said the area could benefit from an increase in ships to the Port of Palm Beach.
 
"In 2014 the Panama Canal is going to expand so some of those bigger ships that will need to go to the Port of Miami or Port Everglades will displace some smaller ships. Where do we want to them to come to? How about right here at the Port of Palm Beach."
 
 West also  said the extra ships would not only result in more work at the port, but in neighboring businesses.
