RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - A 17-year-old girl and her 1-year-old son who had been missing since Tuesday were found safe Thursday afternoon.
A friend brought Precious Lasheeka Huggins and her son, Anthony Auguste, to the city police station, city spokeswoman Rose Anne Brown said. Both were in good health.
Huggins and Auguste had last been seen around 4:30 p.m Tuesday when Huggins left her grandmother's home in Riviera Beach, city police said.
The grandmother has custody of both Huggins and the infant and was concerned about their well-being. Huggins has been diagnosed as being bipolar and had not been taking her medication. The baby has asthma, police said.
Huggins is a habitual runaway, but this is the first time that she has taken the baby with her, police said.
