Riviera Beach mayor Thomas Masters' 17-year-old grandson dies from spider bite complications

The 17-year-old grandson of Riviera Beach Mayor Thomas Masters has died in Arkansas from complications related to a spider bite, the city's spokeswoman Rose Anne Brown announced Friday morning.
Desmond Masters died Wednesday while serving in the Job Corps in Arkansas, Brown said in an email to the media. Previous to joining the corps, Desmond was living with his mother Sabrina, Bishop Masters' oldest daughter.
The young man's death comes less than a month after Masters' mother, Isabell Masters, died in her sleep at the age of 98.
Details of funeral arrangements have yet to be worked out.
