PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - Nine months after being suspended, two employees from the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department still don't know if they need to find another job.

Friday, warehouse manager, Wendy Otano, and purchase order specialist, Ladonna Booth, defended their actions in an effort to keep their jobs.

While no criminal charges were filed, the employees have been on paid administrative leave since an investigation revealed they falsified documents for more than than $90,000 dollars worth of equipment.

"Taking it day by day, you don't know what's going to happen," said Booth. "It's like am I going to get a phone call today or tomorrow"

A final decision on whether or not the employees will be able to return to work is expected early next week.
