PALM BEACH, Fla. – Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Ananth Prasad is coming
to Palm Beach to meet with the Mayor and Town Council regarding the Flagler Memorial Bridge.
This special Town Council meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, in the Town
Council Chambers at Town Hall. The public is invited to attend.
"Mayor Coniglio asked me last week to be prepared to call this special Town Council meeting," said
Town Council President David Rosow in a release. "Now that the scheduling details have been finalized, we arehappy to announce this opportunity for Secretary Prasad to speak directly and publicly in Palm Beach
about the situation at the bridge."
Mayor Coniglio expressed gratitude for Secretary Prasad's willingness to meet with the Mayor and
Town Council in special session. "This situation has been, is, and will continue to be very
challenging for all of us," she said. "Secretary Prasad's complete engagement in this matter and his
commitment to partner with local officials on the solutions is a great service to the public we jointly
represent."
