PALM BEACH, Fla.-- The ocean water was off limits for a time in Palm Beach.
Lifeguards say sharks were close to the shoreline, keeping swimmers on the sand.
Red warning flags were lowered after almost two hours.
Brittany Cohen was in town visiting family from Philadelphia.
"They were right in the surf, they were very close to shore. I was very surprised, they were about two feet long, there was a school of them. So, they weren't huge sharks but they were definitely enough to get us out of the water," she said.
Lifeguards at the beach said since sharks migrate this time of year, seeing them is more common. They expect the migration to end soon.
