PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Three years before the votes are cast in the next presidential election, some of biggest names in politics have come to Palm Beach to raise campaign capital during several high-dollar fundraisers.

Tonight, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), a favorite among conservatives to run for president in 2016, will headline a private fundraiser at the home of Dot and Jim Patterson.

Supporters will pay between $1,000 and $10,000 to meet Rubio.

On Thursday, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, another favorite among conservatives to run for president, raised campaign cash at the home of Jana and John Scarpa.

Supporters paid as much as $3,800 per person to meet him.

Not to be outdone, Democrats this week launched an aggressive push to raise $100 million to outspend incumbent Florida Governor Rick Scott.

Scott is up for re-election in 2014.
