Law enforcement and school leaders from all over Palm Beach County gathered Friday morning to roll out a school bus stop safety campaign.
The campaign is called "stop on red, kids ahead"
Law enforcement officers say they found many drivers were unsure when to stop for a school bus.
Officers produced a short public service announcement to help educate the public on school bus stop safety laws.
"We'll of course it's frustrating when you see people violate the pieces that are in place to protect their children, so that's the bottom line, so hopefully will educate them as well so they know when they can and can't," said School Police Chief Lawrence J. Leon.
Pamphlets of the initiative will be handed out to parents and school leaders. Authorities also plan to run the public service announcement on social media sites in Palm Beach County.
