WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Foreclosure filings are up in Palm Beach County.
New case filings are up nearly a quarter from July and up a third from last August. The clerk's office says there were 1,485 new foreclosures filed last month, a 21.7 percent increase from July 2012, and a 31.9 percent increase from this same time last year.
This is on trend with what the clerk's office expected. Foreclosure filings slowed last year in wake of the robo-signing scandal.
