PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The sign couldn't say it any clearer: "No dogs allowed on beach."
But everyday, pet owners bring their dogs on the beach between Sunrise Avenue and Wells Road on Palm Beach.
People who live in the area plan on voicing their concerns at a council meeting Wednesday. They say dog owners are unleashing their dogs and not cleaning up after the animals.
Others aren't bothered by the dogs.
Chairman William Diamond said he would like to allow dogs on the beach.
"We are making all of these people into law breakers essentially and it appears that code enforcement cannot really apply to the point where they can stop the use of the beaches," he said.
Town leaders hope to clarify the rules at Wednesday's meeting.
