PALM BEACH, Fla. - Palm Beach Police usually get a large number of calls from The Breakers hotel, because of the sheer size of the facility. The calls vary from cases of slips and minor thefts to credit card fraud, police spokesman Fred Hess said.

About 12:30 a.m. Friday, a call came in, and it was nothing like the ones they normally get from The Breakers, Hess said.

Two valets at the hotel reported that a guest had touched them inappropriately.

Hess said the report claims that the man was waiting for his car to be retrieved by another valet when the incident happened.

“This is an unusual type of call, certainly for the Breakers or for any place in Palm Beach,” Hess said.

Police are investigating the incident as a case of battery, or unlawful touching, he said.
