PALM SPRINGS, Fla. - Two teenagers are facing charges for robbery, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, says Lieutenant Sal Abruscato with the Palm Springs Police Department.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday when the teenagers attempted to rob a man walking down the street in a Palm Springs neighborhood, says Abruscato.
The suspects allegedly used a cinder block and a coconut to attack him, says Abruscato.
That's when the victim fought back using his keys.
According to Abruscato, police were called to the scene and transported the victim to JFK Medical Center. The suspects were transported to Delray Medical Center.
Neither the victim, nor the suspects, received life-threatening injuries, says Abruscato.
Charges are pending.
