WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Some Palm Beach County students are learning a hard lesson following two different undercover operations.
In "Operation D (minus)" undercover officers posed as students and resulted
in 14 warrants being issued for students at Lake Worth High School and Boynton Beach High School. So far 12 have been arrested.
They're charged with selling drugs.
The second investigation was called Operation School Daze. It cracked down on people selling drugs within 1,000 feet of a school.
Police obtained 20 warrants. To date, eleven people have been arrested.
"Children in our community deserve better than what they are getting in terms of having both schoolmates and other individuals hanging around school property diminishing both the quality of life and the quality of their education,” said Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe
Some of the confiscated drugs included cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, and oxycodone.
