STUART, Fla. -- Drivers are facing higher gas prices going into the holiday weekend.

Friday morning, the average price of a gallon of regular gas in Palm Beach County was $4.05.

The state's average is $3.96.

On the Treasure Coast, prices were comparable to the state's average.

Many drivers in Stuart said they're not going far for the holiday. In fact most said they're staying home because of gas prices.

A recent AAA study shows the majority of drivers are changing their driving habits to help offset the prices at the pump.
