NBC's Dateline will air a segment tonight on the murder-for-hire case of Dalia Dippolito that will feature reporter Susan Spencer-Wendel from our news partners at the Palm Beach Post, who covered Dippolito's trial for the newspaper.
Dippolito, 28, of Boynton Beach, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in June after her conviction for hiring a hit man - actually an undercover agent - to kill her husband of six months. She posted a $500,000 bond and was released on house arrest last month while she appeals the conviction.
Promotional spots for the program, hosted by Dennis Murphy, say it will show how "lust, greed and deceit led to an elaborate murder plot that makes reality TV look like a fairy tale." The program airs at 9 p.m.
