THE ACREAGE, Fla. - Sunday at Sneaky Pete's Grill and Creamery was much different than normal.
"Usually we play a game of pool or two," Denise Alter said while enjoying lunch with her son Brady.
Acreage families like the Alters came to play some games, order up some brunch served with a side of church music.
The band for The Acreage's chapter of Grace Fellowship sang to open up church service Sunday at Sneaky Pete's.
"We came in and we didn't know what was going on," Alter said. "We thought it may be a political rally."
There weren't any stump speeches on this Sunday at The Acreage bar and grill off Seminole Pratt Whitney Road.
Pastor Jim Sims led fellowship at the local hot spot.
He said it's the first time he's ever had service at a bar.
"You know I have friends that have started churches above a bar," Sims said. "You know Jesus can be served anywhere."
Church is normally held at Seminole Ridge High School.
The threat of storms made them change their plans Saturday night.
"We checked several other places and talked to people about going to their houses, but we just don't have anyone with houses quite that big," Sims said.
Sneaky Pete's customers traded in the beer for a Bible.
"The only thing I don't want them to do is order lunch while I'm preaching," Sims said. "Other than that I don't really care."
Anything to take some time to praise and worship as Tropical Storm Isaac approached.
"Lord, I pray that you keep people safe in this storm wherever it goes," Sims concluded the service.
