LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. - The Palm Beach County Health Department has issued a contact investigation among students and teachers at Seminole Ridge High School after a fellow student was diagnosed with Turberculosis.
According to the health department, the student is not in school at this time and is undergoing medical treatment for the disease.
A letter went out to parents of children who shared the same classes as the student.
"We are asking those who receive a letter to grant us permission to administer a PPD test to determine if the TB infection has been passed along," said Health Department Director Dr. Alina Alonso.
More information on Tuberculosis can be found by calling the PBC Health Department at 561-804-7922.
