LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. - Help is being made available to those residents who's homes and lives were impacted by the storms.
The American Red Cross opened a shelter at the Palms West Alliance Church on Southern Boulevard in Loxahatchee.
Some families have taken advantage of that help.
"They can come here for a hot meal, just somewhere to go that's dry or they can come here and spend the night," said American Red Cross Volunteer Steve Bayer. "We have cots and blankets in the trailer outside."
The shelter at the Palms West Alliance Church has closed for the night and will reopen Friday morning, depending on the need.
