LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. - After a 16 month pregnancy, 'Bloom' has given birth to a 155 pound baby rhino at Lion Country Safari.
Anna is 6 days old and doesn't venture far from her mom's side.
The baby white rhino was named after the famous African conservationist Anna Merz who passed away recently.
White rhinos are endangered and don't have many offspring in their lifespan.
"It doesn't happen very often, this is her (Bloom's) second baby in 3 years, which is really rare. Normally we have to wait 6-9 years before they have another calf," said Lion Country Safari Wildlife Directory Terry Wolf.
Anna will gain 4 pounds a day until she gets up to 6,000 pounds.
